Today Delhi metro is said to be the life line of delhi commuting millions of people here and there daily. today i was at the new delhi railway station metro station and then i realized the crowd there, it was huge and so much chaotic that it dosen't seem to be a metro station but rather looked like a gurudwara where there are several long queue for the langar. but still it was managabal. i saw some foreign tourist there who were amazed to see this crowd and seems that they have landed in delhi quiet recently and have their first kind of interaction with the delhiats. everybody was busy doing his or her job, the ticket clerks were busy issuing tokens and the security staff was busy with the checking.
Delhi is extending day by day, started from delhi, new delhi, then outer delhi and now its been extended to NCR region which currently is not accountable. still its managable..
but somehow i realized that behind the hustle and bustle of delhi a big reason but all the chaos and the shrinking area is the growing population in the capital. Delhi is a city which accumulates all from the other states who come here in search of a job or business or its own residents who were earlier natives of the neighbouring states. the increasing population is putting up the pressure on all the amenities and the life line of delhi and sometimes takes to a halt.
sometimes the crowd seems to be very amazing here, and even a delhiate sometimes feel lost here. at the rajeev chowk metro station its so crowded that you dont have to walk a foot, the people around you will take you with them, just keep your face in the direction you want to go and you will land at the same place and even while boarding and deboarding the train you dont have to make an effort people here will help you to pick the train.isnt it amazing that they take so much care of you.but thats delhi is all about......
